The Job
The Wall Panel Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of wall panel projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in wall panel systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical guidance.
Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery.
- Ensure all projects are completed in compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project teams, including site supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, address challenges, and align on project goals.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Track project expenses, approve invoices, and manage change orders.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct project closeout meetings with clients to review project performance and gather feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry, specifically with wall panel systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of wall panel systems, including design, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Must be able to climb ladders and perform site inspections.
