As a Commercial Roofing Estimator for the Service Department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely service proposals, coordinating project activities, and cultivating customer relationships. The role involves collaboration with the sales staff, conducting site visits, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.

What You’ll Do:

Estimation and Proposal:
  • Compile bids and generate proposals within specified deadlines.
  • Conduct site visits to gather essential bidding information.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely proposal completion.
Bidding Procedures:
  • Review and prepare proposed project bids in adherence to company bidding procedures.
  • Maintain overall cost accuracy in project estimates.
Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Participate in post-job review/analysis of actual costs for future project improvement.
Customer Relationships:
  • Cultivate relationships with customers to secure profitable repeat business.
  • Provide technical expertise and build relationships with local facility representatives.

Database Utilization:
  • Use the database of completed projects and existing customers to offer roof inspections and additional services.
Sales and Account Expansion:
  • Establish new accounts within a 100-mile radius through effective planning and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and local management teams.
Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all job-site safety requirements, including PPE and fall protection.

What You’ll Need:
  • Experience with Edge estimating software (Is a Plus).
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (Is a Plus).
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience (Preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of commercial roofing experience.
  • Sales or estimating experience in commercial roofing or a related industry (Preferred).
  • Fundamental knowledge of roof systems and repair applications (Preferred).
  • Basic working knowledge of computer programs and phone software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors, lift, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
