We are looking for a Roofing Estimator to join our team. The Roofing Estimator will estimate roofing projects and actively engage in sales and business development to secure roofing contracts. This role requires a unique set of skills that blend estimating expertise with sales and client relationship management.

What You’ll Need:
  • Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator: Experience in estimating roofing projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials and techniques: In-depth understanding of various roofing materials, their application, and installation techniques.
  • Estimating Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using estimating software like Bluebeam and HeavyBid to provide accurate estimates.
  • Sales and Business Development Skills: A solid background in sales, lead generation, and relationship building is crucial for winning roofing contracts.
  • Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Effective communication with potential clients and the ability to negotiate contracts are key sales skills.
  • Marketing Skills: The ability to market roofing services and create effective sales pitches to attract new clients.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Proficiency with CRM software to track leads, client interactions, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Networking Skills: Building and maintaining relationships with contractors, property managers, architects, and other industry professionals.

What You’ll Do:
  • Estimate Roofing Projects: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for roofing projects, as a traditional roofing estimator would.
  • Review Project Plans: Analyze roofing plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work, materials required, and technical details.
  • Collaborate with Contractors and Suppliers: Work closely with roofing contractors and suppliers to gather the necessary information for estimating purposes. Maintain strong relationships to secure competitive pricing.
  • Utilize Estimating Software: Utilize estimating software and tools for roofing projects to create accurate estimates. (Bluebeam and HeavyBid)
  • Analyze Project Costs: Break down project costs into various categories, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Seek ways to reduce project costs while maintaining quality.
  • Prepare Bid Proposals: Create comprehensive and competitive bids for roofing projects.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Engage in contract negotiations with clients to secure roofing contracts.
  • Lead Generation: Actively seek out potential clients through various means, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver effective sales presentations and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with existing clients and track interactions through a CRM system.
  • Market Roofing Services: Develop marketing strategies to promote roofing services and generate leads.
  • Ongoing Client Support: Provide support to clients throughout the project, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Assist with Project Management: Depending on the organization, the Roofing Estimator Sales may assist with various project management tasks.
