Our client, a leader in commercial exterior services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join their rapidly growing team for an exciting opportunity based out of Virginia Beach.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing large-scale commercial and institutional roofing, waterproofing, and restoration projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish. This is an ideal position for a proactive and experienced professional with a strong background in commercial construction with an expertise in commercial roofing systems, and/or infrastructure project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Large-Scale Projects: Oversee multi-million-dollar projects ($5M+) in occupied environments like hospitals, schools, and government buildings.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and project-specific safety regulations.
- Drive Project Success: Coordinate teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely, budget-conscious completion.
- Solve Complex Challenges: Assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement innovative solutions.
- Optimize Performance: Conduct post-project evaluations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years managing large-scale commercial roofing or building envelope projects.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with roofing systems like TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and metal roofing, along with waterproofing and restoration solutions.
- Leadership & Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities; experience minimizing disruptions in occupied facilities.
- Certifications: OSHA 30/500 required; EM 385 or LEED certification is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
