Role: Project Manager - Commercial Construction
  • Minimum $100,000 base salary (range above depending on experience) 
  • Bonuses: Performance-based bonus program tied to project success and individual performance.
  • Benefits: Full health coverage paid by the company.
  • Tools Provided: Company computer, necessary software, and phone.
  • Travel: A minimal travel requirement of one visit per month to each of your assigned project sites. Additional travel will be required if more time on-site is needed for a project.
Candidates with experience in Gas Station, Carwash, Convenience Store and Retail projects between $3M to $20M will be given strong consideration.

Established in the 1990s, our client is a Texas-based Commercial General Contracting firm. With operations in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, they provide General Contracting, Retail Tenant Finish out, Commercial New Construction/Remodeling, and Restoration services for over 15 years.   

Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our client's team. budget, and to the highest standards. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate all aspects of the construction process. Field experience is required for this role, as it is essential for managing the hands-on elements of the job. Our project managers typically handle 4 to 6 projects at any given time.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of 4 to 6 commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure that all project documentation (contracts, change orders, RFIs, etc.) is complete and accurate.
  • Monitor project performance and take corrective action when necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Assist in preparing and negotiating contracts and subcontracts.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and clients regarding project status, risks, and changes.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project satisfaction and continued business.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 5+ years in commercial construction project management. Field experience is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to manage complex projects and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage 4 to 6 projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
