Production Supervisor – Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Our client, a rapidly growing beverage manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality while managing a team of technicians, operators, and general labor staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and schedule production staff, ensuring all production targets are met.
  • Coordinate production activities with a focus on safety, quality, environmental standards, and output volume.
  • Manage line changeovers to optimize efficiency.
  • Train new employees on equipment operation, procedures, and reporting.
  • Review and approve daily production reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, materials, and personnel issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee sanitation and cleaning procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Provide input on personnel decisions, including hiring and promotions.
  • Hands-on involvement in mechanical and engineering-related problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a food, beverage, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and engineering background with expertise in troubleshooting.
  • Experience with powder packaging (cans, pouches, bags), blending, and liquid packaging (bottles).
  • Ability to train and develop operators and technicians in packaging and processing line operations.
  • Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, maintenance, and productivity.
  • Certifications in Forklift Training, First Aid, and WHMIS are an asset.
