Low-Rise Site Superintendent โ€“ Residential Project

Role Overview:

The Low-Rise Site Superintendent will lead the management and execution of a significant residential development project, focusing on ensuring quality construction and efficient operations throughout the building process. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of overseeing large-scale homebuilding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan and coordinate construction activities, ensuring all materials and work meet specified standards and regulations. Oversee construction crews and uphold strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Scheduling and Efficiency: Organize project schedules to ensure continuous progress and optimal efficiency. Ensure the project is completed within budget, on time, and meets quality standards.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage subcontractor schedules and work quality, ensuring seamless collaboration with other trades.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project records, including daily reports and timesheets, as well as documentation related to Change Orders, submittals, and subcontracts.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct and document weekly safety meetings, ensuring all operations comply with industry safety standards.
  • Procurement and Issue Resolution: Assist in procuring subcontractors and suppliers, and address any issues with owners, architects, subcontractors, or material suppliers as needed.
  • Supportive Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by the Project Manager.

Team Management:

The site will require a site superintendent, a finishing superintendent, and a site clerk. The client will oversee the recruitment of additional staff as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.
  • Familiarity with methods, equipment, and materials used in low-rise residential construction.
  • Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Computer savvy with the ability to utilize relevant technology effectively.

Start Date: September 2024
Compensation: $130K-$150K based on experience and computer skills
