Our client is offering an opportunity to join them for a watermain replacement job near Sudbury, ON. Project runs from August to December.
This role will provide leadership, schedules/coordination and will supervise to ensure productivity and safety. As an effective communicator, the Foreman/Foreperson will act as a management liaison for clients, consultants and the company.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience as a Pipe Layer in underground utility construction projects is required
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment related to pipe laying.
- Good understanding of blueprints, specifications, and construction plans.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to job sites.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Install and connect underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems according to specifications and blueprints.
- Use hand tools and equipment to excavate trenches and lay pipes with accuracy and precision.
- Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes to facilitate proper flow and functionality.
- Install and secure pipe fittings, valves, and other components as required.
- Collaborate with the Foreman to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor and inspect pipes for any defects or damage, and report any issues to the Foreman.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Competitive base salary, union rate equivalent or more depending on experience, plus overtime.
