Commercial Roofer
 
Our client a leader as a full-service roofing and exterior services provider seeks a Commercial Roofer to join their Florida team.  The Commercial Roofer will be an essential part of our skilled team responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of our clients' roofing systems. This entry-level role will give you the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop your skills, and embark on a rewarding career in the roofing industry.
 
Payrate: $20.00- $23.00/hr.
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Work in a safe manner, following OSHA guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Assist in the installation of new roofs and roofing materials on both low and steep slope roof structures, primarily in commercial buildings.
• Collaborate with the team to conduct thorough roof inspections, identifying issues requiring repair and contributing to effective solutions.
• Accurately measure roofs and support in calculating the necessary materials for each project.
• Assist in investigating leak conditions, determining points of entry, and participating in roof repairs using compatible materials.
• Support the replacement of damaged or deteriorating plywood, joists, and other structural components.
• Safely transport materials and equipment to job sites using a company truck.
• Fulfill any other relevant duties as assigned. 

 
Required Skills/Abilities:
 

• Previous experience in commercial roof repair is a mandatory requirement.
• Capable of repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights and proficient in ladder climbing.
• Demonstrated ability for self-directed problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with both low and steep slope roofing materials and fundamental installation techniques.
• Basic knowledge of roof coatings, sealants, and their application techniques.
• Awareness of trade-related hazards and safety requirements.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, positively contributing to team success.
• Precise adherence to instructions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic competence in utilizing hand and power tools, as well as other roofing equipment.
• Proficient mathematical skills to accurately calculate material requirements.
• Ability to operate a smartphone, follow job instructions, and input required job information.
• A background check clearance for potential access to governmental facilities is highly desirable.

 
Preferred Certification/ Training
 

• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Drivers License
• Rigging Certification
• Forklift License
• Manlift Training
