Senior Commercial Roofer
 
Our client a leader as a full-service roofing and exterior services provider seeks a Senior Commercial Roofer to join their Florida team.  The Senior Commercial Roofer will play a crucial role in the installation and repair of various roofing systems, ensuring the protection and integrity of commercial buildings. This position involves the safe installation of roofing materials, comprehensive inspections, and effective repairs while providing exceptional customer service. You will be a representative of the company, upholding its commitment to quality and safety.
 
Payrate: $28.00- $30.00/hr.
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team.
• Install new roofs and roofing materials on a wide range of low and steep slope roof structures, primarily for commercial buildings.
• Perform thorough roof inspections to identify issues requiring repair and develop effective solutions.
• Accurately measure roofs and calculate the necessary materials for each project.
• Investigate leak conditions, determine the point of entry, and execute necessary roof repairs with compatible materials.
• Replace damaged or deteriorating plywood, joists, and other structural components.
• Safely transport materials and equipment to the job site using a company truck.
• Fulfill any other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A minimum of 3+ years of prior experience in commercial roofing repair is required.
• Experienced and capable of supervising the work of others.
• Proficient in self-directed problem-solving and the efficient resolution of roofing issues.
• Capable of repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights and skilled in ladder climbing.
• Proficiency in both low and steep slope roofing materials, along with their installation techniques.
• Knowledgeable in roof coatings, sealants, and their application techniques.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of trade-related hazards and safety requirements.
• Exhibits strong teamwork and collaboration skills, fostering effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Displays a precision-driven approach to following instructions and adapting to changing conditions.
• Exceptional organizational skills complemented by a keen eye for detail.
• Competent in the use of both hand and power tools, as well as other essential roofing equipment.
• Possesses proficient mathematical skills for accurate material and material requirement calculations.
•  Proficient in smartphone operation, capable of following job instructions, and inputting necessary job information.
• A background check clearance for potential access to governmental facilities is highly desired.

Preferred Certification/ Training

• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Drivers License
• Rigging Certification
• Forklift License
• Manlift Training
