THE OPPORTUNITY
A well-established architectural firm (two dozen employees) with multiple decades of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial (ICI) projects seeks an Architectural Designer interested in furthering their technical design skills. This role is ideal for someone with a strong building science background looking to work on a variety of projects; looking to be mentored by senior leaders that value long term stability & loyalty.
WHAT THEY NEED
• Someone with an Architectural Technologist diploma or Bachelor of Architecture with experience creating full-sets of architectural drawings; preference given to candidates with international experience plus 4+ years of OBC experience
• Someone experienced with moderate to complex projects and a portfolio demonstrating strong building science skills - preference to candidates with education project experience
• Someone technically focused on functional design; value-engineering focus on detailing; focused on full-life cycle operational concerns, not innovative award-winning designs
• Someone experienced juggling multiple projects; dealing with consultants with competing interests; preference to candidates experienced going to sites, taking minutes, dealing with shop drawings, RFIs and change orders
