Our client is a growing business within the Canadian Building Materials industry that is aggressively challenging the status quo and bringing new and exciting product offerings to market for independent building material dealers and retailers. 

They are seeking a numeric, highly organised and personable business administration professional to take on the role of Program Coordinator and work as part of a team integral in the delivery of purchasing programs for the hardware stores in their membership. 

The individual will have strong analytical skills as they will be responsible for managing multiple buying programs that involve complex rebates, pricing and volume discounts. The person will be able to look through numbers to spot anomalies, see trends and  analyze performance. They will be used to maintaining detailed information in spreadsheets and technology programs. They should be used to reconciling data and creating, as well as maintaining, accurate and detailed reports. 

Working closely with a team of two other Program Coordinators, this person will play a key role in the negotiation process with vendors and will have an active role in ensuring the best in class delivery of services to the end customer. Strong communication skills and relationship building skills will be highly valued. 

During Vendor negotiations, this individual will play a vital role in preparing information that is used in the decision making process for commercial negotiations. Present through the entire negotiation process, this person will be the subject matter expert on the rebate program, will understand clearly the needs of the end customer and will provide information to the lead negotiator that influences the outcome of the purchasing decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• BA in Business Administration or similar.
• Previous experience in a finance or purchasing role.
• Strong time management and organisational skills. 
• Stong MS Office and tech savvy. 
• Excellent customer service and oral/written communication skills are required.

Building Materials experience would be a bonus. 

\Work Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm

Pre-placement credit check and drug testing required.
