An excellent opportunity for an intermediate to Senior Contract Administrator with strong experience in the market to join a growing and developing team with a number of exciting and innovative projects that are based both locally and nationally Vancouver, British Columbia.

Our client is a national firm focused in the architecture and design industry with projects based in commercial, health care, institutional, mixed-use, retail and corporate designs.  They have a fantastic reputation and are growing and adding more projects to their teams leading designs and projects and embarking into international territories with unique developments currently and for the future. 

The role of Contract Administrator will focus on liaising with clients, contractors, the project team and all additional stakeholders throughout the entire phases of design and construction with the various projects.  Projects will be focused in the mixed-use, commercial and institutional space and previous experience in these types of projects is an asset.  There will be a need to prepare, administer, document, create change orders, assemble and collect all information needed for the contracts and work directly with the project team on developing these at certain timelines in the project construction phase.  There is a lot of room for this position to grow and develop further with a collaborative and dynamic group and excellent, award-winning projects. 

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials;
  • B.Deg in Engineering, Construction, or Architecture
  • 5+ years' experience Contract Administration experience with either a developer, architecture firm or general contractor
  • Proficient in bidding procedures, project field reporting, field reviews, payment certification, site document processing (CCN/RFI/SI) and contract change procedures
  • Excellent background in construction process, project management and building design and science
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction management
  • Focus on collaboration and communication within a team
  • Ability to perform and execute a project as well as lead an a team effectively is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement and contracting principles, methods, procedures and practices including contract administration relating to changes, claims and delays
  • Onware system experience an asset
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
