We are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Architectural Sales Rep. This role is responsible to promote the company’s products and services among key decision makers. Together with other team members, the Architectural Sales Rep works to exceed customer expectations.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Foster relationships with key decision-makers including general contractors, builders, developers, designers, architects, and suppliers
  • Act as a trusted resource through sharing product and industry expertise and experience
  • Identify key projects and work proactively to ensure the company’s products are included in job specifications
  • Research and assemble project submissions and distribute in a timely fashion
  • Support the Sales team with technical inputs for job quotes and business development
  • Liaise with product suppliers and manufacturers and stay current with technical and general product information
  • Actively pursue opportunities to educate decision-makers
  • Attend and participate in related association events
  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skills & Qualifications
Industry Related
  • A degree or diploma in Construction, Architectural Technology, other related field
  • 3 + years in a similar role within the building materials industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the complete building envelope is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of ceilings materials and acoustics is an asset
  • Ability to read architectural drawings or blueprints is a must

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal skills
  • Reliable self-starter who can work independently and on a team

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office; especially in Excel and Word)
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to learn new product and technical knowledge quickly
  • Must be able to travel within assigned territory - overnight travel required
  • Must have own car and a valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
