This is a fantastic opportunity, working with a very large player in the builder industry. Our client has built a strong name in the Building Materials industry and are looking for an Inventory Analyst to assist the Accounting team. The Inventory Analyst is responsible for product costing at our multiple offsite locations along with costing and recording Inventory Transfers, Receipts and Invoicing

Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
  • Perform Inventory Management duties including costing, location transfers and record maintenance.
  • Process inventory Receipts, Sales and Adjustments in Microsoft Great Plains and industry-specific software.
  • Maintain off-site inventory register and prepare month-end inventory reports.
  • Perform and validate Mill production costing.
  • Streamline records management for analysis and costing transactions.
  • Liaise with Sales, Operations, Production, and AR / AP group.
  • Maintaining & tracking of FSC/FSI transactions and record.
  • Provide assistance to others in department as work load allows.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives.
  • Other duties as required.
  • College or University degree/diploma in Accounting.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent Communication skills (oral & written).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to take direction well, adaptable, co-operative and able to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong initiative, proven ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, large volumes of work and a fast paced, service oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated maturity with the ability to self manage, organize, prioritize and interact well with others/team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Intermediate Excel (linked spreadsheets, pivot tables. V-lookup), Word and Outlook level.
  • Experience working with an ERP system an asset.
