Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the quarterly and annual external IFRS financial statements and MD&A as well as other public disclosure documents.  
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of an acquisitions, audit or other financial department
  • Prepare financial statements, summaries, reports and other cost-benefit analyses
  • Co-ordinate the financial planning and budget process, and analyze and correct estimates
  • Supervise the development and implementation of financial simulation models
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to senior managers and other department or regional managers
  • Run financial models and conduct profitability analysis for mergers and/or acquisitions
  • Notify and report to senior management any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Analyze financial data – and create financial models for decision support.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis; identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
  • Work with external stakeholders, such as bankers, equity funds and other investors in promoting the organization.
  • Provide end of the month reports for C-level executives.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems and procedures
Critical Requirements:
  • Accounting Designation (CA Preferred) CFA
  • Experience at a CA firm or Investment Banking  
  • 5 years of financial reporting experience IFRS/GAAP
  • Exceptional MS Office and accounting software knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics GP an Asset)
