Our client is an established building materials manufacturer with proven track record in developing talent through their organization. Based in the headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario, they are currently seeking a business development executive to join their growing team. 

This is an outbound sales role focused on creating appointments for the account management team with new potential business accounts. You will be calling on specialist industry accounts such as other manufacturers, fabricators and dealers. You goal is to generate interest with the potential customer and book appointments for the account team to close. 

The company invests heavily in training and development and this role will be given substantial support in terms of technical product training, tactical sales training and strategic direction. This role is a stepping stone to moving into an account management role which has face to face contact with the customers. 

The role will suit someone looking to develop a sales career and who is interested in the building materials industry. Ideally you will have some previous sales experience and any exposure to the building materials, construction or manufacturing industries would be highly valued. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate drive, intelligence and a likeable nature and be unafraid to pick up the phone and create business.
