This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Architect with strong experience in the market to join a growing and developing team with a number of exciting and innovative projects that are based both locally and nationally.  

Our client is a national firm focused in the architecture and design industry with projects based in commercial, health care, institutional, mixed-use, retail and corporate designs.  They have a fantastic reputation and are growing and adding more projects to their teams leading designs and projects and embarking into international territories with unique developments currently and for the future. 

The role of Project Architect will encompass a strong understanding of design and architecture that tailor to the client and final users upon project completion. With an excellent team established in the firm this individual will add to the collaboration and creativity of the group through a excellent designs and project development. There will be a focus on building targeted goals and meeting objectives and timelines will be a key component of the day to day duties of this role. With excellent opportunities to progress and develop further with the team there will be opportunities to mentor junior staff members and contribute to the project completions and overall development. 

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials;
  • Master’s Degree in Architecture, AIBC Designated
  • LEED Certification is an asset
  • 5+ years' experience as an Architect working within the sectors of health care, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects 
  • Excellent experience working with Vectorworks, AuotCAD, and REVIT 
  • Ability to quickly execute hand sketches efficiently
  • Strong experience overseeing technical production and construction
  • Focus on collaboration and communication within a team
  • Ability to perform and execute a project as well as lead an a team effectively is a must
  • Must be experienced in planning, all phases of architectural design from schematic design to design development and be actively involved in the preparation and coordination of construction documents
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
