About the role
We are searching for a skilled Advanced Analytics Lead to join a fast paced, growing Research and Data Science team. The team prides itself on an entrepreneurial working environment, ability to successfully interface directly with their clients and creating analytical solutions focused directly on solving real business problems.

The Advanced Analytics Lead is responsible for supporting syndicated services, research projects, and customer queries. The solutions and methodologies that the Advanced Analytics Lead will develop has the opportunity to change audience measurement throughout Canada.

Responsibilities: 
  • Conducts data mining, modelling and integration projects to support existing and new audience measurement products
  • Provide advanced analysis for audience insights to support research projects
  • Communicates results to senior management, technical and research groups and clients
  • Assess the validity and rigor of new data sources and approaches, establishing scalable frameworks for ongoing evaluation as appropriate
  • Use modelling and analytics for audience measurement data to provide insights and explanations to changes in audiences and behaviour
  • Cleans, modifies, and formats large data sets, and works across a broad range of data platforms, formats, and processing techniques
  • Produce audience estimates through sample design and weighting/calibration procedures
  • Support and development of analytical dashboards and data visualization tools

Requirements:
  • Masters degree or higher with very strong statistical and computation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytics
  • Knowledge of survey sampling techniques as well as calibration and weighting of survey data
  • Expert knowledge in computational languages (e.g., Scala, Python, Spark, R) and packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS) required
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g.,SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationships
  • Must be able to conceptualize ideas in consideration of divisional business needs
