The Sr. Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for elevating data capabilities, reporting & predictive modeling in order to enhance financial and non-financial reporting and management metrics at the corporate level.   This highly visible position will report directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis.  The position will entail a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, providing assistance with guidance projections, financial analysis, creating and producing management reports, and ad-hoc analysis.  Initially, this role will be an individual contributor and will not have direct management responsibilities.

The Sr. Financial Data Analyst position is ideal for a corporate accountant who has experience with data analytics (business intelligence/data science).


  • Support the development of an integrated business-planning model leveraging systems and data from across the organization.
  • Apply a solid working knowledge of data management techniques, including software solutions for storing, accessing, reporting, and analyzing data
  • Identify and implement solutions for data gaps to enable creation of new financial reports, improvement of existing reports, and easy analysis of data.
  • Improve and standardize the processes for collecting, combining and validating the integrity of large data sets.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads and reporting redundancies.
  • Use data analytics to draw conclusions and present financial and operational insights in an effort to support timely executive level decision-making.
  • Make strategic recommendations for solutions to business problems and opportunities using data analytics and predictive modeling.
  • Consolidate and analyze historical financial information to produce accurate and reliable quarterly forecasts
  • Serve as a resource to team members and applicable stakeholders on ad-hoc financial analysis assignments and projects.
  • Provide clear interpretation and presentation of financial data and analysis to stakeholders.  

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or other related fields in quantitative or analytical discipline
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and finance
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in data or business reporting is required
  • Proficient at querying large data sets, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with an aptitude in systems and reporting for analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization software (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Experience with statistical, analytics and database software (SQL, SAS)
  • Experience with accounting and planning software
