Account Manager

Our client is involved with the healthcare industry where they are leaders in patient transfer and injury prevention. They offer a wide variety of solutions designed to increase efficiency and protect both patient and staff from preventable injury.

They require an Account manager to maintain and grow the Kelowna region.

Key areas of responsibility
  • Must be effective at communicating professionally and effectively to all levels of personnel within target and client facilities.
  • Perform regular, consistent sales calls to all health related businesses in assigned territory.
  • Create an ongoing working plan reflective of varying business environments within assigned territory.
  • Highly skilled at preparing and presenting proposals highlighting deliverable solutions.
  • Manage a robust pipeline.
  • Oversee service and equipment implementation.
  • Actively seek out RFP opportunities, coordinate response and deliver proposals in a timely fashion.
  • Achieve sales goals annually in all SKUs.
  • Key account awareness and management within assigned territory.
  • Comfortable and effective at up-selling and add on sales within existing accounts.
  • Effective and regular communication with all internal divisions (accounting, service, marketing etc.).
  • Act as an available and accessible resource for clients.
  • Maintain accurate notes/records on all competitors with up to date information.

Experience/skill set
  • The ability to manager and self direct all related activities in the sales process.
  • Execute a consultative sales approach.
  • Proficient in assembling large proposals and/or request for quote.
  • Skilled communicator. Comfortable with all levels of decision makers.
  • Comfortable presenting to both large and small groups.
  • knowledge of workplace accident prevention methodology and the effect on loss prevention and risk management.
  • A solid and participative team player.
  • Comfortable with all common computer activities (office suite, internet search etc.)

  • Post secondary degree science, nursing, business management or kinesiology.
  • Experience in capital equipment sales.
  • 3-5 years outside sales, territory management with demonstrated performance success.
