Front End Store Supervisor

Our client a National leader in Grocery retail produce is in the market looking for a motivated Front-End Supervisors to join and lead their team as they grow and focus on future goals. Mostly, you must have related supervision experience and are a team player. You have a knowledge in, or passion for the retail Grocery Food Industry. Naturally gifted people person who can adapt easily and function in very fast paced customer focused environments. 
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the daily supervision of the operations of the store.
  • Management of customer service values, addressing customer issues, or concerns and ensuring that the front end of the store, cashiers are operating effectively to provide excellent customer experience,
  • Supervising front end cashiers and customer service counters to ensure effective front-end operations
  • Tasked with duties relevant to purchasing, receiving, merchandising, rotation and stocking products to achieve optimum store conditions.
  • Ensure staff is trained, competent in their duties, focused on superior customer service, and joy in their work.
  • Leading teamwork and cooperation efforts, being available and accessible to staff as required during the operational shift
  • Reviews price checks, sale items and approves any discounts Partner with management to set goals and targets;
  • Promote culture and policies with colleagues;
  • Maximize sales’ opportunities and ensure fantastic customer service;
  • Partner with management to oversee coordination and execution of services;
  • Understand and communicate promotional items and services; and
  • Depending on your department, your responsibilities range from accountability for handling cash to ensuring cashier coverage.
  • Reviews store schedules to ensure overall coverage in all areas of the front end of the store
  • Supervision of all cash operations, end of day balancing and preparation of cash deposits
  • Responsible for store closing and as required store opening
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Supervision experience in retail food is a must – preferably retail grocery
  • High School Diploma, with Secondary Education preferably in retail store management would be an asset.  
  • Has a passion for customers and customer service values
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with employee success being a high priority Demonstrate leadership abilities, and highly motivated with a passion to bring our communities products and services to live better;
  • Ability to make decisions with integrity and support company objectives and policies; and
  • Excellent communication skills and able to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to effectively complete daily responsibilities and provide fantastic customer service.
