Looking to add an experienced Assistant Payroll Manager to their HQ in North York. You will support the Payroll Manager and work with a team of administrators who oversee various client groups and a payroll process for 1500+ employees.

Looking to add an experienced Assistant Payroll Manager to their HQ in North York. You will support the Payroll Manager and work with a team of administrators who oversee various client groups and a payroll process for 1500+ employees.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing the payroll team while implementing, maintaining, and reviewing all payroll processing systems.
- Audit and Balance payroll prior to processing
- Ensuring all payroll process is submitted before the deadline
- Work with accounting to ensure accurate payroll transactions are recorded properly for salaries, garnishments, taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Lead, mentor and support a busy team of payroll administrators while working closely to support the Manager
- Be a competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator; working closely with retail locations and other areas within the organization
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Assist with other payroll duties, as assigned
- Post secondary education in Payroll or related field, CPM designation or in progress
- Minimum 8+ years experience in payroll, with 2+ in a supervisory role
- Multi-provincial payroll experience is required, preferably within the Retail industry
- Experience ADP WorkForce Now is preferred
