THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, P.Eng
- 4-6 years of relevant industry experience
- Roadway Design & Construction experience including geometrics, alignments, utilities, staging, roadside safety, quantity calculations, contract documents and constructability.
- Bridge design experience an asset, or willingness to learn
- Prepare drawings and designs, contract documents, engineering specifications and cost estimates for rural and urban roadway, single site development design
- Coordinate construction activities, QA/QC testing and reporting, construction layout, quantity tracking, contractor management, regulatory compliance and as-built information.
- Rural Transportation experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Civil3D and AutoCAD
- Excellent analytical and technical capability, as well as interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational ability, in order to manage multiple public and private projects
- Have a continual learning attitude, staying up to date with industry research and developments
