Senior Land Development Planner

Senior Land Development Planner - Registered Professional Planner (RPP) 
Location: London Ontario - remote work possible  
Salary: $105,000-$125,000 (base) + RRSP + full benefits



OUR CLIENT:

An established mid-sized firm with decades of experience, repeat clients & strong focus on construction management & general contracting seeks an RPP certified Land Development Planner. They have a strong pipeline of projects across Ontario and deal primarily with mid to high rise projects; also have commercial & industrial projects. This is a full-time permanent role with a full set of benefits and work from flexibility - including fully remote option - to attract a qualified candidate looking for growth and upward mobility.  

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

This is an ideal position for a fully registered RPP/MCIP member in good standing with experience in mixed-used multi-family residential projects to join a thriving  organization. You will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of land development projects.

WHAT'S REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in land development planning including mixed-use mid to high rise projects 
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Studies
  • In-depth knowledge of land use regulations, zoning ordinances and development review processes: The Planning Act, Official Plans, Zoning By-Law Amendments 
  • Experienced performing detailed analysis, reviewing urban design guidelines, managing application submissions, conducting community engagement initiatives     
  • Experienced working in multi-disciplinary teams, including developers, architects, engineers, legal counsel; municipal councils, COA and provincial regulatory bodies
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities; tracking timelines, approvals, and deliverables across concurrent applications
  • Conduct assessments of possible development sites including zoning analysis, and environmental constraints to determine project feasibility and strategy
  • Prepare and submit applications, technical reports and presentations to for rezoning, variances and other regulatory approvals
