As their portfolio of renewal, retrofit, and tenant improvement work continues to grow, they are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to co-lead one of their busiest departments alongside the Vice President of Renewals.

About Our Client’s Culture:
The team is down-to-earth, solutions-focused, and aligned by a shared mission to improve the performance and longevity of BC’s built environment. You’ll also help shape the direction of the department, mentor internal staff, and take a lead role in client engagement and pursuit strategy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead complex renewal projects across all phases—from feasibility and concept design to construction and close-out

  • Oversee multi-disciplinary teams including architecture, structural, mechanical, and construction personnel

  • Establish and manage project scope, schedules, and budgets; ensure technical and delivery excellence

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients including commercial landlords, public agencies, and property managers

  • Drive business development efforts alongside the VP and Renewals Director; assist with proposals, pitches, and pursuit planning

  • Mentor and develop internal team members; contribute to staff performance reviews and hiring needs

  • Refine internal processes and support continuous improvement across project workflows and team resourcing

  • Champion sustainability, code compliance, and energy efficiency in all project solutions

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical building systems, with a strong background in renewals, retrofits, and existing buildings

  • At least 5 years in a senior or leadership role with oversight of teams and project delivery

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, project budgets, and integrated team performance

  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, energy standards, and building systems constraints in existing structures

  • Collaborative leader with a coaching mindset and commitment to professional development

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance technical excellence and business priorities

  • P.Eng. designation required; BC-based experience strongly preferred

What Our Client Offers:

  • Competitive salary and annual performance-based bonuses

  • RRSP matching, extended health benefits, and learning & development support

  • Strong internal culture of collaboration, complete with social committee and annual team building events
