Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Full-Time | Field-Based | Virginia
Estimated Salary: $120,000 – $135,000/year (DOE)

Are you a seasoned construction professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering top-quality projects? We’re looking for a Senior Superintendent to take charge of day-to-day site operations and drive successful outcomes on ground-up commercial builds.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring others, and brings a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every jobsite.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality standards are met

  • Coordinate subcontractors, materials, inspections, and project timelines

  • Lead and document daily reports, site logs, and weather updates

  • Conduct weekly site meetings and jobsite safety inspections

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage budgets, costs, and schedules

  • Review project documents, drawings, RFIs, and ensure compliance

  • Assist with permitting, change orders, and subcontractor invoices

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field-level problem-solving

  • Mentor and guide field staff, promoting a high-performing and safety-first culture

  • Track warranty service items and support closeout process

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of field leadership experience in commercial construction

  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, blueprints, and site logistics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and scheduling software (Microsoft Project preferred)

  • Solid understanding of OSHA standards and site safety enforcement

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions with physical activity and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)

  • Valid driver’s license and daily travel to local job sites required
