Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year + benefits

About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of their food safety and quality programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and proactive leader to drive compliance, enforce food safety standards, and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate is assertive and decisive, with the ability to ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations while maintaining positive relationships with cross-functional teams. This role requires someone who is comfortable making tough calls and upholding quality standards without hesitation.
 

What You’ll Do

• Quality Systems & Compliance – Manage and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with BRCGS, SQF, FSMA, and HACCP. Keep policies and procedures up to date and ensure documentation is accurate and accessible.
• Audits & Regulatory Oversight – Lead internal audits and ensure the facility is always audit-ready for third-party and regulatory inspections. Work closely with CFIA, FDA, and other governing bodies to ensure full compliance.
• Food Safety & Risk Management – Enforce HACCP protocols and ensure all food safety procedures are strictly followed on the production floor. Work with teams to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and prevent future issues.
• Supplier & Ingredient Quality – Monitor and evaluate raw materials and supplier performance to maintain the highest product quality standards. Conduct supplier audits and maintain documentation to ensure compliance.
• Team Leadership & Training – Provide hands-on leadership to a small QA team, ensuring accountability and adherence to quality standards. Train production staff on food safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality best practices.
• Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis – Use QA data and trends to drive process improvements and enhance product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality initiatives that support operational efficiency.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of management experience in Quality Assurance within beverage or food manufacturing
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems (BRCGS, SQF, HACCP, FSMA)
• Experience leading internal and third-party audits
• Understanding of CFIA, FDA, and USDA regulatory requirements
• Proven leadership skills with the confidence to enforce food safety standards
• Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or equivalent (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
