Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Administrator to manage vendor payments and office operations within our Construction and Property Management client. This role focuses on accounts payable processing, financial reconciliation, and vendor communication, while also supporting general office administration. The ideal candidate is experienced in AP functions, proficient in accounting software (Yardi preferred), and capable of handling financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Be the welcoming face of the office—manage reception, answer calls, and provide top-notch administrative support.
Keep our operations on track by processing and filing incoming mail, cheques, and maintaining organized records (both digital and physical).
Oversee the day-to-day functions of the office, ensuring efficiency and organization.
Take charge of Accounts Payable—process and verify vendor payments, manage financial coding, and obtain approvals.
Perform account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
Utilize accounting software like Yardi to efficiently handle transactions.
Respond to vendor inquiries with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
Support the team with general office duties—filing, organization, and anything else needed to keep things running smoothly.
Experience: Previous Accounts Payable experience, ideally within Construction or Property Management.
Administrative Skills: Prior experience handling office administration, reception, and clerical tasks.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (Yardi experience is a plus!).
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and an eye for accuracy in financial and administrative work.
Communication Pro: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to provide professional phone etiquette.
Team Player & Self-Starter: Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the team.
