About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Capital Associate to join a rapidly growing alternative investment mortgage financial services company. Reporting directly to the Senior Investment Director, you will play a key role in executing strategies to raise capital and build brand awareness across Canada. This remote position requires a motivated, service-driven professional with a strong background in investment sales and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present tailored alternative investment solutions to individual and group prospects, adapting presentations to meet diverse client needs.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with institutional investors, investment advisors, and family offices.
  • Generate and maintain ongoing interest and investment in mortgage investment products.
  • Ensure investor data is meticulously managed and kept current.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate fund performance and investment strategies effectively to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities for raising capital and broadening the investor base.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, including KYC and AML requirements.
  • Provide exceptional client support and guidance, maintaining high service standards while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investment sales or capital raising, with a strong focus on client relationship management.
  • A post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CSC, CFP, CIM, or CFA are considered assets.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian private capital markets and its compliance requirements, including KYC and AML.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a high-volume, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the region to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance goals in a fast-paced environment.
