They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join their team and support the successful execution of high-rise construction projects.
Job Description:
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of high-rise construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating high-rise construction projects from inception to completion.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Track project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Support the preparation and submission of permits, approvals, and other regulatory documents.
Organize and attend project meetings, ensuring action items are documented and followed up on.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files, including drawings, contracts, and change orders.
Assist in the closeout process, including the preparation of final reports, warranties, and handover documentation.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role, preferably in high-rise construction or development.
Strong understanding of construction processes, timelines, and documentation.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Ontario.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across the GTA.
