My client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative consumer products known for their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. This company has a strong presence in the market and prides itself on delivering high-quality products to retailers and consumers across North America.
Job Purpose:
The Purchasing Coordinator will ensure products are purchased efficiently and at the right price to meet customer demands. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the overall supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Review requirements in SAP and process purchase orders to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track shipments, manage lead times, and expedite products when necessary.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for all purchased products to meet customer demands.
  • Engage with suppliers for RFQs, analyze received quotes, and negotiate pricing.
  • Address and manage quality issues with suppliers as needed.
  • Resolve supplier payment issues in coordination with Accounts Payable.
  • Review and process orders and documentation for direct pickup orders from overseas or U.S.-based factories.
  • Collaborate with the Graphics team to manage changes in artwork.
  • Collect data and generate reports for review with the Supply Chain team regarding product specification changes and end-of-life planning.
  • Actively search for new suppliers/vendors to enhance product offerings.
  • Participate in cross-training on processes related to all customers and suppliers within the supply chain.
