About this Job:
My client, a global company that provides temporary power generation, temperature control, and energy solutions, is looking to add a Sales Representative – Data Centre to their team. The Data Centre sales professionals are responsible for selling equipment rental and services primarily to data centre customers by developing current and potential customer relationships to achieve or exceed yearly revenue targets in line with company procedures and objectives. Responsibilities include developing and executing an annual territory sales plan, account management, cold calling, presentation development and delivery, closing deals, and working with operations teams to ensure customer needs and collections are met.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • PC literacy in a Microsoft environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems to track all sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders.
  • 3 - 5 years of previous direct B2B sales experience, preferably in high transactional volume sales or within the data centre industry.
  • Knowledge of data centre power and cooling solutions is preferred but not required.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a data centre customer base to promote and solicit new, ongoing business by contacting regular and prospective customers via phone or traveling throughout the assigned territory to solicit orders and close sales.
  • Develop and achieve an Annual Territory Sales Plan that sets revenue, profitability, and market growth targets within the data centre industry.
  • Quote prices, contract terms, estimated delivery dates, and credit terms using established processes.
  • Display or demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, emphasizing marketable features that address data centre needs.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and expense accounts within specified timeframes.
  • Coordinate with Rental Center functions to prepare sales contracts, documentation, and collections for orders and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure customer projects are completed according to schedule and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate reports and database records of customer contacts, activities, and transactions.
  • Prepare accurate and current progress reports for management on the status of all pending opportunities and critical customer-related activities.
  • Provide technical sales assistance for power and cooling applications relevant to data centres.
  • Achieve ‘step changes’ in business results by proactively identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
  • Embrace and promote safety culture in all aspects of the role.
