Position Overview:

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate multiple aspects of project execution, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budgets, and upholding high safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for estimating full general contractor (GC) tenders, overseeing 2-4 Junior Project Coordinators, and assisting in the execution of complex projects.

This position offers a pathway to Project Manager with the opportunity to further develop leadership skills and manage larger-scale projects in the future.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 2-4 Junior Project Coordinators, ensuring project success and supporting their professional development
• Estimate full GC tenders, providing detailed project cost assessments, resource planning, and schedules
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to prioritize and schedule project activities
• Manage project documentation, including procurement, contracts, and revisions, ensuring compliance
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and costs, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget
• Interpret project specifications and drawings, resolving issues that arise during execution
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure quality standards are followed on all projects
• Foster effective communication between project teams, clients, and suppliers for smooth execution
• Track and report on project progress, identifying risks and providing proactive solutions

Project Coordinator Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in industrial/commercial construction settings
• Strong experience in estimating full GC tenders and managing project costs and resources
• Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and AutoCAD/Revit (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
