Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of food ingredients in North America, is looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to oversee and expand a portfolio of national accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment, enjoys working with industrial food processors, and has a strong understanding of technical sales in food ingredients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Host customer meetings, innovation sessions, and high-level presentations to showcase product capabilities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in trade shows, training seminars, and industry conventions to expand market reach.
  • Travel across Canada and the U.S. (approximately 25% of the time) to meet with clients and strengthen relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Food industry experience is a must – specifically in B2B sales with industrial food processors.
  • Strong technical sales skills related to food ingredients.
  • A proven track record of growing accounts and driving revenue.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with key account planning and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the Food Industry.
  • A valid driver’s license for travel requirements.
