About the Opportunity
Our client, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, develops radiopharmaceuticals to image and treat solid and hematologic malignancies. With a strong clinical pipeline and investor support, they are committed to developing novel therapies that extend patients' lives.
Our client seeks an accomplished Senior/Executive Director of Research to lead their oncology-focused research programs. The role requires a strategic leader with scientific expertise and a track record of guiding cross-functional teams to achieve research milestones. Experience with radiopharmaceutical discovery and development is required.
Lead research strategy and execution for radiopharmaceuticals, small molecules, peptides, and drug-conjugate programs.
Collaborate with leadership to establish workflows, integrate new technologies, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Identify and evaluate new research opportunities, staying informed on emerging science and competitive intelligence.
Provide mentorship and coaching to research teams, fostering innovation and scientific excellence.
Oversee data analysis, ensure timely reporting, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Act as the primary liaison between research functions and executive leadership to align on company milestones.
PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in oncology drug development, with a demonstrated track record in molecule candidat selection and scientific innovation - 10 + years required.
Strong project expertise in radiopharmaceutical development or oncology-focused research.
Proficiency in medicinal chemistry, radiochemistry, in vitro/in vivo biology, and analytical method development.
Proven experience leading cross-functional research teams to achieve company milestones.
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
