About the Role

As a Senior Project Architect, you’ll lead complex projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver outstanding results. This is a leadership-focused role where you’ll mentor emerging designers, oversee project delivery, and directly influence the strategic growth and success of the Vancouver studio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and project delivery for complex, high-profile architectural projects across multiple sectors.

  • Manage all phases of project development, from early concept design through construction administration.

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and project leader.

  • Oversee project teams, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to junior and intermediate staff.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to business development efforts and studio growth strategies.

  • Ensure design excellence, technical accuracy, and adherence to budgets and schedules throughout project execution.

  • Lead consultant coordination and review, ensuring seamless integration of all disciplines.

  • Present design concepts and project updates to clients, stakeholders, and approval authorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership on complex project types.

  • Registered Architect with AIBC

  • Proficient in design and documentation software, including Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulatory processes, and construction methodologies.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing project teams, budgets, and schedules.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.

  • A passion for sustainability, innovation, and mentoring the next generation of designers.
