Project Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA
Required: 2 years of General Contractor experience in Commercial Construction
Salary: $70 000-$90 000 depending on experience with comprehensive suite benefits.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with superintendents to resolve field challenges and deliver accurate design information.
• Review, coordinate, and oversee shop drawing submissions to ensure they align with project specifications.
• Prepare and manage change orders, subcontractor agreements, and cost adjustments.
• Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and maintaining construction schedules.
• Expedite materials and equipment delivery, including owner-supplied items, to keep the project on track.
• Support payment processes by reviewing subcontractor requests and preparing applications for owner approval.
• Contribute to cost reports and ensure quality control through inspections and corrective actions.
• Attend project meetings, document discussions, and distribute minutes to stakeholders.
• Maintain project records, including as-built drawings and critical documentation like operations manuals.
• Offer technical support during pre-construction and construction phases, resolving design conflicts and optimizing methods.
• Represent the company in meetings with owners, design professionals, and other key participants.
