IT Infrastructure Admin (Azure)
Toronto, ON (4 Days onsite)
Salary- $90,000-$1,00,000 + Bonus
Our client, an independently owned leading global investment firm, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Admin with strong expertise in Azure. The role encompasses the responsibility of managing their Azure cloud infrastructure while integrating standard IT Infrastructure practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud administration, Lan Wan technologies, standard infrastructure practices.
Responsibilities-
Azure Administration
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and networking.
• Resource Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, performance, and security.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security policies, identity and access management, and compliance standards within Azure.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for Azure-hosted systems.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and manage monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance of Azure services.
Infrastructure Practices
• Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Network Administration: Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and oversee data backup processes and recovery plans to safeguard critical information.
• Security Management: Develop and enforce security policies, manage firewalls, and monitor network traffic to prevent unauthorized access.
• System Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to track system performance, identify issues, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Software Updates: Manage the installation of software updates and patches to keep systems secure and up-to-date.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other IT staff.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation and tracking of all infrastructure components.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals and departments to support overall IT goals and initiatives.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Azure cloud administration.
• Proven experience with IT operations.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
