Our client, a well reputed structural steel fabricator is currently looking for Welders for their facility based in Thorsby AB.

They are seeking an experienced Structural Manufacturing Welder to join their team. This role involves performing various types of welding processes to construct and repair structural components essential to our projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding techniques and a proven track record of reliability and precision in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW techniques.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately fabricate large-scale structural components.

• Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications for strength and durability.

• Conduct inspections of welded structures and components to identify and rectify defects.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

• CWB Certification in welding from a recognized institution either completed or close to completion.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in structural steel welding.
• Journeyman Ticket would be an asset.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and structural engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
