This is a great opportunity for an Intern Architect looking for their next career transition to be a part of a medium-sized company based in downtown Vancouver. This role will have you being involved in the design of multi-family, wood-frame projects as well as some commercial, retail, senior living and some mid and high rise concrete steel construction as well. ABOUT THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will focus on front end / schematic design work predominantly using SketchUp and AutoCAD, as well as working with the production of building permit and rezoning applications. The role won't requite much drafting or technical work. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented junior intern looking to develop their design skills and continue to grow their career.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
- Master’s Degree in Architecture (Registered as an Intern in Canada/British Columbia)
- Be an intern or registered Architect with AIBC, technologists will also be considered
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the industry, ideally working on some multi-family projects in Canada and putting together development permit packages and rezoning packages
- Enjoys doing design work
- Experience working with AutoCAD and SketchUp. Revit isn't required.
- High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design
- Passion for design and architecture with an eagerness to learn and grow
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
