Job Title: Maintenance Millwright

Position Overview:
A trusted supplier of high-quality bottles, closures, and precision plastic balls for the pharmaceutical, vitamins/supplements, roll-on, and personal care industries, our company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright. This role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations within a pharmaceutical-grade packaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment, including plastic molding machines, bottle cappers, labelers, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on a variety of packaging machinery to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Perform precision alignment and calibration of equipment to ensure quality and consistency in packaging operations.
- Operate tools such as lathes, grinders, and welders to fabricate or modify machine parts as needed.
- Inspect equipment and complete detailed maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine settings and ensure the highest standards in pharmaceutical-grade packaging.
- Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the pharmaceutical packaging environment.
- Assist in the development and improvement of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and participating in safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification in Millwright, Industrial Mechanics, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging or pharmaceuticals.
- Proven knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and machining.
- Ability to perform precision tasks and handle materials with pharmaceutical-grade care.
- Familiarity with GMP and SOP requirements is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification as a Journeyman Millwright or similar credential.
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting and automation systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
