Our client is a successful and well-established real estate property developer and property management company that manages a portfolio of commercial, residential and retail units in the GTA and surrounding communities. They are looking to hire an Accounts Payable to join their growing team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle accounts payable process and ensures all internal deadlines are met
- Entering contracts, purchase orders and processing invoices
- Reconciling vendor accounts, processing deposits, bank recs
- Assist with analysis reports, balances and job costing reports
- Coding, entering, and processing of invoices during peak payable periods
- Responsible for AP reporting and continuously improves current reporting
- Respond to requests and inquiries from other departments and external vendors
- Ad Hoc accounting responsibilities, as needed.
- Minimum 5 years + of accounts payable experience in the construction industry.
- University degree or College Diploma in accounting, ideal candidate pursuing CPA
- Experience with Newstar is mandatory, Yardi experience would be an added asset.
- Strong work ethic, highly reliable, responsible, self-motivated and organized.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong reconciliation, analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
