Position: Construction Project Manager (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional experience with interior and ground-up projects)
Location: Sugarland, TX
Compensation: $120-$155K plus benefits, dependant on experience.
Overview
We're looking for a Project Manager who truly understands how to bring a client’s vision to life, leveraging a wealth of construction knowledge. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind planning, directing, and coordinating projects on a day-to-day basis. If you're someone who can easily adapt to different internal processes and enjoys building strong relationships with key project stakeholders, this position could be a great fit. Your goal? To ensure every project meets the highest standards of cost efficiency, timeliness, quality, and client satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Hands-on Project Involvement: You’ll be engaged in every phase of the project, from pre-construction through to start-up and close-out.
- Managing Changes: Writing and issuing change order requests will be part of your daily tasks.
- Budget Tracking: You’ll prepare and keep tabs on monthly budgets and reports.
- Documentation: Requesting and writing RFIs, reviewing submittals, and ensuring their execution will be key responsibilities.
- Scheduling: Building and managing construction schedules to keep everything on track.
- Collaboration with Superintendents: Work closely with the superintendent to ensure all contract conditions are met, and labor, materials, and equipment are utilized effectively within budget.
- Safety and Workforce Management: Ensure that subcontractors maintain a skilled and disciplined workforce within a safe working environment.
- Site Visits and Time Management: Ability to travel to multiple sites and manage time effectively.
- Contract Management: Prepare subcontractor agreements and finalize close-out documentation.
- Issue Resolution: You'll resolve any issues with subcontractors and suppliers that arise in the field.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the safety and quality control teams to ensure full compliance on the job site.
- Policy Adherence: You’ll need to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years as a project manager in the construction industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership: Excellent leadership and time management skills.
- Multitasking: You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once.
