Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Intermediate Architect to join a team working on a variety of exciting and complex projects. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing projects from initial design through to construction, collaborating with a talented group of architects, designers, and technicians. Your technical skills and ability to navigate design and construction challenges will be key to delivering successful projects and maintaining the firm’s stellar reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine architectural design concepts from design development to final contract documents.
- Prepare detailed specifications, construction drawings, and building permit applications.
- Perform contract administration duties, both on-site and in the office.
- Provide technical direction and support to team members.
- Experience with managing project work plans and design schedules to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and City officials to ensure project compliance and address any issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of professional experience with a strong portfolio showcasing design skill and construction drawings and documentation.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp / Rhino, Lumion, 3DsMax are an asset
- Expertise in construction detailing and working drawings.
- Experience with construction administration is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of technical and conceptual design aspects.
- Ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple consultants.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and bylaws.
- Understanding of building materials and technologies.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
