Commercial Roofing Service Department Sales / Estimator
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Salary: Up to $100k

Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through leads, referrals, and networking. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to generate sales and ensure repeat business.
- Estimating: Review drawings and project specifications, perform on-site inspections, and calculate costs to prepare accurate and competitive bids using estimating software.
- Customer Relationship Management: Conduct client meetings, present proposals, address questions, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate estimates and project completion on time and within budget.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and client communications. Provide regular sales activity and project status reports to management.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all estimates and projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, project management, and field teams for seamless project execution. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technology Utilization: Use estimating software, CRM systems, and other technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the sales and estimating process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction sales, estimating, specifically in commercial roofing.
- Proven track record of creating accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale roofing projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Comprehensive understanding of roofing systems, materials, construction processes, and contract management.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements related to commercial roofing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to effectively negotiate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Experience in managing client relationships and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Ability to handle client inquiries professionally and provide solutions that meet their needs.
