TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with one of the most trusted names within the HVAC space
in North America. Our client is a manufacturer & distributor and has been operating in the lower mainland for over 75+ years. They are looking for a new Logistics Specialist to work as apart of their Sales Support team.

Salary Range is $65,000-$70,000

This person will be working with their carriers and vendors to communicate and deal with shipping issues. They will develop and maintain quotes and costs associated with shipments, and work with couriers for improved visibility on shipments, delays, and damage with their sales team.

Logistics Specialist

Basic Function:
The basic function of this Sales Support Logistics Specialist is to work with the outside sales team and support them in the following functions:

•    Liaise with freight brokers to obtain the most cost-effective means of shipping product on behalf of the       
     company.
•    Collaborate with sales team to estimate freight costs on tendered projects.
•    Coordinate delivery details with customers on each delivery to ensure the customer has the necessary
     resources at hand to accept and properly receive direct shipment orders. Specifics would include, but not
     limited to, determining what equipment is available to offload product, obtaining site contact information for
     the carrier, determining any restrictions in terms of available delivery times, and educating customer on proper
     receiving techniques and processes.
•    Respond promptly to lost or damaged shipments, process freight insurance claims.
•    Keep detailed spreadsheet documenting each order, quoted amount versus landed cost applied. 

Qualifications:
•    A background in freight logistics, 1-3 years or more experience in directly related field is preferred.
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
•    Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•    Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, ethical business practices, and reliable team member.
•    Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
•    High school graduate with post- secondary education preferred.
