High-Rise Construction Site Superintendent

$150K-$180K plus package

Location: North York, Ontario

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced High-Rise Construction Site Superintendent to oversee our residential development projects in North York. As a pivotal leader on the construction site, the Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction operations, maintaining schedules, and enforcing compliance with safety regulations and building codes. This role requires a seasoned professional with a solid track record in high-rise construction management.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of construction for high-rise residential projects from the ground up, including coordination of subcontractors, material suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and contractual agreements.
  • Implement rigorous safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily on-site operations, including scheduling, logistics, and workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment among site personnel, including resolving conflicts and ensuring clear communication across all project stages.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress and address any deviations from the planned schedule or budget to senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including developers, architects, and city inspectors, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent, specifically in high-rise residential construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles specific to high-rise development.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario Building Code, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a sharp focus on details and project specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.
