Job Title: Project Manager - Wood-Frame Multi-Family
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Salary: $130,000 to $170,000
 
We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager with wood-frame multi-family experience to join our client's team.


Position Overview: The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of wood-frame multi-family construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of wood-frame multi-family construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Procure materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with building codes, regulations, and permit requirements.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among project team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on wood-frame multi-family construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with local building regulations and permit processes in the Greater Vancouver area is preferred.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a considered an asset.
