Summary of Position:
Our client is looking for a highly-experienced Senior Project Manager, to oversee the successful execution of architectural projects from conception to completion. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal project teams, fostering strong relationships and clear communication channels. This role will have a growth trajectory to higher levels within the firm.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams in the development and implementation of architectural design solutions that meet client objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project progress and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status updates to key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction phases of the project.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and client satisfaction.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and industry events, showcasing our expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional architectural solutions.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Professional Architectural license (AIBC) required
  • Minimum of 10 years of local experience in architectural project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects of varying scales and types
  • Extensive connection and network in the local market, with ability to connect with new clients
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in industry related software and tools, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of BC building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices
  • Previous experience in client management and business development activities is a plus
